Booked ahead and were seated in the bar area. The good service; friendly and helpful. All the food was delicious. Generous roast dinner with cauliflower cheese, sausage and chips and... read more fish and chips for the children. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the the peas with the childrens’ meals were dry and a bit hard so they didn’t want to eat them.

There was a good selection of real ales; light & dark; those tried were in excellent condition,... read more we had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch, the food was very tasty & plentiful. Adding to the atmosphere was the open fire, which was welcome on a cold day! (No smell of smoke either, it drew very well!) We came into contact with several of the people working there, they were all very obliging & looked after us as if we were old friends. We look forward to a return visit at some point, hopefully on a Fri or Sat evening for a live band. It would be worth the 70 mile round trip for us!

The pub is always warm... read more and inviting, with a fire roaring and friendly staff. The food was excellent, compliments particularly forthcoming for the sea bream and veg wellington. The food was beautifully presented and service was prompt. We feel lucky to have such a fabulous local pub and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

15th December 2022 Clean and friendly pub. Good roast . Breakfast was okay bit on the small side. Nice locals in this pub. Room was nicely decorated and immaculate. Would stay here again.

23rd May 2022 - Lovely country pub - Great food the venison was exquisite. Good portions, great for kids even supplied cutlery for my 2 year old, which is great as we always forget.

28th December 2022 Lovely Sunday Lunch - We were looking for a last minute Sunday lunch, tahnks to Tripadvisor we found the Bell Inn and thought we'd give it a go. We're local, but never been before,... read more but were very pleased with the food we had. Arriving at 12, we were the only ones there for 20 minutes, but then it started to fill up (we obvioulsy eat early on a Sunday!). The traditional roast was lovely, good variety on the plate including red cabbage, parsnip and swede mix, it had great flavour and a huge yorkshire pudding! Dessert was just as good and all reasonably priced (£68 for three of us, two courses, drinks and a well deserved tip). So hopefully this will return the favour and someone else looking for a decent Sunday lunch in mid-Suffolk will stop by. Adventurer165483
5th February 2023 Family meal - Lovely family meal x 5, great menu and service.
Rib eye steaks and short rib were superb. Sticky toffee pudding desert also recommended.
