  Excellent Christmas Meal - We are a village book group who use The Bell as our meeting place, and we like to have a Christmas meal together every year. The pub is always warm... read more and inviting, with a fire roaring and friendly staff. The food was excellent, compliments particularly forthcoming for the sea bream and veg wellington. The food was beautifully presented and service was prompt. We feel lucky to have such a fabulous local pub and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

It’s just been refurbished so everything was very clean and smart.

We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was excellent, well cooked and good-sized portions.

There wasn’t a single thing to find fault with, breakfast was lovely with dishes from eggs Benedict and eggs florentine to a full English. Treats were provided for our dog at every meal and there’s even a doggie menu that includes a roast or fish and chips!

Exactly what you’d look for for a couple of nights exploring the Suffolk countryside.

  Family meal - Lovely family meal x 5, great menu and service.
Rib eye steaks and short rib were superb. Sticky toffee pudding desert also recommended.

  Weekend break - Had a great stay again at The Bell Inn Rickinghall. Wonderful hosts, great food and hospitality, lovely comfortable rooms in a relaxing atmosphere and central location.

  Booked ahead and were seated in the bar area. The good service; friendly and helpful. All the food was delicious. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the the peas with the childrens’ meals were dry and a bit hard so they didn’t want to eat them.
