The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the the peas with the childrens’ meals were dry and a bit hard so they didn’t want to eat them.

  Weekend break - Had a great stay again at The Bell Inn Rickinghall. Wonderful hosts, great food and hospitality, lovely comfortable rooms in a relaxing atmosphere and central location.

Lovely welcome by great , friendly people and... read more were able to check in early. Room was cosy, clean and a fan was already provided as it was warm. Beds were comfy and we had all we needed and our pooch was spoiled with treats. The evening meal was great, fast service even though very busy , superb atmosphere with a folk band who were quiet enough not to disturb us when we retired. Breakfast was just right. Parking very easy on private car park. For the price we paid £89, including breakfast,excellent value and we will visit again. 5 stars thoroughly deserved .

But the service was welcoming, efficient and really first rate. The lady who served us was so helpful and we got served really quickly along a relaxed atmosphere. I don’t usually do reviews but I felt in this case that The Bell Inn deserves a fabulous mention. Thanks so much.

  So we go here for breakfast on the occasional weekend, dinner with friends and Sunday lunch is really good too!

Started off with some rustic bread oils and olives... read more very simple but absolutely lovely. My wife then had haddock chips and peas and the fish was huge and beautifully white and tasty. I had venison accompanied with a beautiful mash some veg and a jus. It was fantastically cooked absolutely lovely meal.

Had mushroom with a garlic cream sauce, a minted pea and asparagus risotto, and a sticky toffee pudding, and everything was perfect. Quite literally couldn’t find a fault, and the 5 other people were exactly the same. A couple of the others had a Seafood tagliatelle and there was nearly more seafood than pasta! Altogether a pretty stunning meal.

  Fantastic food, service and very family friendly - We visited the Bell for a friend's pre Christmas lunch. Between us we had 3 toddlers and 2 babies. The team could not have been more accommodating, making us feel... read more very relaxed (which isn't alway easy when you are trying to keep little ones occupied!).
The food was delicious, seasonal menu and a great selection. I had the pheasant followed by crème brulé and a cheeky glass of house red.
We will be back again in the New Year.
