26th August 2022Love this place. I'll be back! - A warm welcome awaits you! The friendly staff are happy to help. The rooms are spacious, warm, spotlessly clean and inviting. There is no area that disappoints, the beer is... read more well kept and the food is amazing.
The short rib of beef was melt in the mouth, a good sized, well priced portion of food. Not to mention the dessert, if their genius of a Greek chef has made her famous orange filo pie, make sure to leave some room, not to be missed!

Eaten here numerous times livi g just down the road, and only just thought of putting a review. Food is always great, but recently it has been the best it... read more has been. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and the food is phenomenal. Had one of the best 3 course meals of my life on New Year’s Day, and was shocked when I was only asked for 23 quid! Had mushroom with a garlic cream sauce, a minted pea and asparagus risotto, and a sticky toffee pudding, and everything was perfect. Quite literally couldn’t find a fault, and the 5 other people were exactly the same. A couple of the others had a Seafood tagliatelle and there was nearly more seafood than pasta! Altogether a pretty stunning meal.
3rd January 2022We were made to feel welcome from when we arrived until we left. There was a good selection of real ales; light & dark; those tried were in excellent condition,... read more we had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch, the food was very tasty & plentiful. Adding to the atmosphere was the open fire, which was welcome on a cold day! (No smell of smoke either, it drew very well!) We came into contact with several of the people working there, they were all very obliging & looked after us as if we were old friends. We look forward to a return visit at some point, hopefully on a Fri or Sat evening for a live band. It would be worth the 70 mile round trip for us!

Girls meal out - Absolutely superb! I have eaten at the Bell many times and recently I went with friends, we had such a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, the staff were professional... read more and attentive and we had a fantastic evening.
10th February 2023Lovely Sunday Lunch - We were looking for a last minute Sunday lunch, tahnks to Tripadvisor we found the Bell Inn and thought we'd give it a go. We're local, but never been before,... read more but were very pleased with the food we had. Arriving at 12, we were the only ones there for 20 minutes, but then it started to fill up (we obvioulsy eat early on a Sunday!). The traditional roast was lovely, good variety on the plate including red cabbage, parsnip and swede mix, it had great flavour and a huge yorkshire pudding! Dessert was just as good and all reasonably priced (£68 for three of us, two courses, drinks and a well deserved tip). So hopefully this will return the favour and someone else looking for a decent Sunday lunch in mid-Suffolk will stop by.
